TEPF is dedicated to offering learning opportunities to all children, allowing them to experience opportunities they might not otherwise have access to.
By working with educational and other organizations, they're creating programs; and we've been extremely pleased to partner with them in offering two introduction-to-the-trades courses in our Calgary hall.
From February to May, we hosted a morning class with 10 students and an afternoon class with 8. Students are exposed to the tools, equipment and resources they'd need for skilled labour. Along with the in-class instruction; the students take basic safety training and earn hours towards future apprenticeship.
We'd expecially like to thank our dedicated instructors, Sam Townshend and Steve Batai, for making the classes such a success. We're now preparing for a compressed course in July with 10 students, full days. You can learn more about TEPF at tepf.ca
